The Mimosa Festival will be held in Herceg Novi from 14th of February to the 15th of March

The festival of flowers in honor of the flower of Mimosa was established in Herceg-Novi in 1969. The idea came to life that year and since then it has been celebrated as a tourist event which makes the city of Herceg Novi full of numerous cultural and sporting events during the winter months as well as with inevitable festival of fish, wine and music, costume ball and carnival parades.

The idea came to life that year and since then it has been celebrated as a tourist event which makes the city of Herceg Novi full of numerous cultural and sporting events during the winter months as well as with inevitable festival of fish, wine and music, costume ball and carnival parades. In addition to outdoor concerts, the weekends will feature masquerades featuring well-known musical names. Mask nights are planned for February 15. The traditional Fish Dinner will be held on February 22 at the Igalo Institute. For the youngest, the Children's Masquerade is organized on February 23 and the Children's Flower Parade on March 7. Four fish and wine festivities will be staged at the Square in the Square during the 51st Feast, on February 16 and 23, and March 1 and 8. There will also be sports programs such as Picigin - February 16th and the Karotrc Carriage Race on February 29th. Herceg Novi is a member of the Association of European Carnival Cities (Foundation of European Carnival Cities (FECC).

Herceg Novi is a coastal town in Montenegro located at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor and at the foot of Mount Orjen. Herceg Novi is a major Montenegrin tourist destination. It is well known as a spa and health center; nearby Igalo has an abundance of healing sea mud and mineral water springs. The most famous tourist attractions in Herceg Novi are castle Forte Mare (1382), a Clock Tower built in the 19th century, and the Kanli tower . Tourist companies organize one-day boat trips to Lustica peninsula, which lies opposite to the town. Popular Lustica peninsula beach sites include Zanjic, Miriste, Rose and Blue cave. Herceg Novi has approximately 260 sunny days a year. In July and August there are approximately 11 sunny hours per day. Average annual temperature is 16.2 °C (61.2 °F) (similar to that of Naples and Lisbon).
