Expressing his commitment to resolving the situation in the best way possible Djokovic stated his intention to use his influence for the general interest of Montenegro and he emphasized his neutral stance, aiming to find a mutually acceptable solution that benefits all parties involved.

Sveti Stefan holds personal significance for Djokovic, as he celebrated his wedding there in 2014.He described the resort as the main reason for visiting Montenegro and expressed sadness over its prolonged closure. On his meeting with the Prime Minister he commented that 'I hope that these meetings we had are just an introduction and the beginning of finding a solution and that it will be on the horizon very soon.”
