Hotel Chain Hilton is to Invest in Ulcinj

There have been numerous reports over the last few months that the town of Ulcinj in Montenegro will be next to undergo a transformation to make it into a tourism hub, and with major investment from one of the biggest hotel chains in the world, it looks like the ambitions of Prime Minister Abazović are soon to become a reality.

Recently he met with Dominique Piquemal, who is the Vice President of the famous hotel brand Hilton, and Mr. Arber Kryeziu who will be the investor for the proposed location of the new 5* Hotel in the town, and it was agreed that given the success of other global hotel chains in Montenegro over recent years, it shouldn’t be difficult for the new site to gain international recognition, especially from the US Market once you bear in mind that 60% of Hilton’s existing business comes from here.

Hilton themselves have a mission to not only integrate as much as possible into the local community, but also to provide a unique, high-quality experience to all their guests, something which Abazović believes will be possible due to the efforts that are being made to promote Montenegro as an all-year-round tourism destination. He commented that ‘There is tremendous potential for the continued development of Ulcinj, and the arrival of Hilton’s new 5* resort would mark a significant step in the right direction’.

Aligning closely with the Government on issues such as infrastructure, airport development, transportation and increased flights, Mr Piquemal was keen to recognize Montenegro’s potential for increased tourism capabilities along with its friendly people and breathtaking scenery, hence why the new resort in Ulcinj would be perfect for all parties involved.
